TurnKey Roundup Control Live CD is an open source and freely distributed project that provides users with a unique and easy-to-use appliance based on the award winning Debian GNU/Linux operating system and designed from the ground up for deploying dedicated servers with the Roundup software.

Roundup is an open source, powerful and simple-to-use issue tracking system application that features web, email and command-line interfaces. The appliance features out-of-the-box support for secure connections, a Postfix mail server for sending email messages , and Webmin modules for configuring Apache, Postfix and MySQL.

It also comes with all the upstream Roundup configurations with support for full timezone, comprehensive documentation, Xapian full-text indexer, as well as the Apache web server. The email registration confirmation is disabled by default.

While the default username for the the MySQL, Webmin, SSH and Webshell components is root, the default Roundup username is admin. During the first boot configuration process, users will be able to enter a password for the root (system administration) account, as well as for the MySQL 'root' account and the Roundup 'admin' account.

The project is available for download as Live CD ISO images, one for each of the supported hardware platforms, 32-bit (i386) and 64-bit (amd64), as well as ready-to-use virtual images in the OpenNode, OpenStack, OVF, Xen and OpenVZ formats.

It is possible to install the operating system to a local disk drive simply by using the Live CD ISO images, which can be written to either CD discs or USB flash drives. A demo mode for trying the appliance without installing anything on your computer is also available on the boot prompt of the Live CDs.

The installation process is easy and straightforward, requiring users to only partition the disk drives and choose where to install the boot loader. At the end of the installation process, you will see the active services, so don't forget to write down their IP addresses and ports.
