Adonis Linux Server is an open source operating system that has been designed from the ground up to use the latest technologies of the award winning Debian GNU/Linux distribution to deliver a rock-solid server oriented OS.
Distributed as a Live CD image
The server edition of Adonis Linux can be downloaded from its official website or via Softoware (see download link above) as a Live CD ISO image of approximately 700MB in size, which will work well on either 32-bit (i386) and 64-bit (x86_64) hardware platforms.
Boot options
The boot menu is pretty basic and standard for a Debian-based operating system. It will help you to start the live environment with default boot options or in safe graphics mode (failsafe), perform a system memory diagnostic test, as well as to boot an existing operating sytem from the first drive.
Processional looking desktop environment powered by Xfce
Believe it or not, the Adonis Linux Server operating system uses Xfce as its default and only desktop environment, which has been highly customized to provide users with a professional look and feel. It uses a single-panel layout, a custom font and a darkish theme.

As expected, the Server edition of Adonis Linux features a plethora of open source packages that have been specifically designed for use in a server environment. We have to admit that it’s a bit weird for a server-oriented operating system to be distributed as a Live CD, but Adonis Linux Server is the exception from the rule, as it provides users with a testable environment that can also be used as a system rescue CD.
