cURL (or libcurl) is one of the World's most used C libraries and is ideal for downloading remote files locally, working on top, and through a wide range of protocols and communication mediums.
The PHP cURL library allows PHP developers easier access to this library via the PHP engine's default (built-in) cURL extension.
The library basically builds an abstraction layer around the cURL extension, allowing developers to easily interact with it via simple, native PHP commands.
PHP cURL provides functions to set the cURL extension options, execute HTTP requests and retrieve the response headers and bodies.
Usage instructions are provided with the library's README file.
