Liftoff was created to add support for external script execution via the user's OS terminal.
This small Node.js module enables developers to build and register a local custom command that they can invoke via their CLI and have it executed via a local Node.js installation.
The library is packed with support for globally available commands, just like the ones Bower, npm, or Gulp have. Liftoff has actually been used to build the Gulp CLI interface.
And the best thing about Liftoff is that it doesn't matter in which syntax version of JavaScript you write your code. Liftoff supports custom compilers like CoffeeScript so you can easily interpret any type of code as long as there's a specific preprocessor available for Node to tap into and run your code.
Usage instructions are provided with the Liftoff README file.
