jQuery.imgx

jQuery.imgx was created to automatically detect the device's pixel ratio settings and then serve the appropriate image.

The plugin closely follows Apple's naming scheme for high-resolution graphics, and supports @2x, @3x, and @4x imagery.

To use, just make sure to include @2x, @3x, and @4x versions of your photos in the same folder as the original.

jQuery.imgx will do all the rest, automatically replacing the original photo with an enhanced version based on the user's device.

This ensures an automatic method of properly delivering high resolution graphics to HD capable devices without having to severely alter the application's codebase.
