Lilium Linux is an open source and 100% free GNU/Linux distribution based on the world’s most popular free operating system, Ubuntu Linux, and designed especially for the SMPN1 Cileungsi school from Bogor, Indonesia. The system is based on the Linux kernel and offers a fast, virus-free computing experience.

Distributed as a dual-arch Live DVD

This Ubuntu-based computer operating system is distributed as a hybrid, dual-arch Live DVD ISO image, supporting both 64-bit and 32-bit computer platforms. It can be installed on a local disk drive or used directly from the bootable medium (deployable on USB or DVD media).

Boot options

Among the default boot options, we can mention the ability to boot the live system with normal configuration or in safe graphics mode, start the installation directly, run a memory diagnostic test, as well as to boot an existing operating system from the local disk drive.

Uses the minimal Openbox window manager

While the default graphical session is powered by the minimal Openbox window manager, the operating system also includes the LXDE, GNOME and KDE desktop environments, which can be selected from the login screen, where you will be dropped when booting the live system.

No password provided for the live media

Unfortunately, we were unable to test this distribution any further as the developers did not provide us with a username and password for the live media. Because of this, we can only recommend that you stay away from this operating system, or, if you feel adventurous, you might attempt to install it on an empty disk drive.
