arkOS is an open source, fast, easy-to-use, secure, free and lightweight Arch Linux-based operating system designed to run only on Raspberry Pi hardware.
The project is more than an operating system for Raspberry Pi, it is a full software stack that allows users to manage secured self-hosting websites, email, files, etc.
Who does it work? arkOS is distributed only as a graphical installation program for Linux and Mac OS X operating systems. The software will download the latest ISO image of arkOS, which will be written to a SD card connected to your computer.
Once it is installed on your Raspberry Pi, arkOS will be ready for use, with all the services you want pre-installed. From here, you can plug the Raspberry Pi into your router, customize it for your needs, and you're ready to share only what you want to share.
