useful.zoom.js has two main features: the zooming function and the panning capability.
The library works by cramming and resizing a larger image to fit inside a small container.
The zooming function allows users to zoom in a photo around this container's center, zoom action controlled by a set of "+" and "-" buttons.
Additional to these zoom in and out buttons, small thumbnails can also be appended under the photo viewing container, which when clicked can zoom in and zoom out the photo to predefined locations and zoom levels.
The secondary function, the panning feature, can be used whenever you can't properly zoom in on the area you wish to see, and this trait is carried out using the mouse cursor and grab&drag gestures.
A sample image panning and zooming widget is included with the download package, to show developers how it can be used and implemented in other Web projects.
