useful.parallax.js actually does two things. Apart from implementing parallax background scrolling, the library also works as a lazy loading system for the parallax section, loading the background images only when they're visible on screen.
The parallax effect can be applied to the entire page or just a smaller container found inside it.
Parameters are included with the library's code, enabling the fine-tuning of the perspective and displacement effects, and the usage of offsets for the parallax motion.
The exponential curve of the parallax shift can also be tweaked, along with the threshold at which background images are preloaded before coming into view.
A fully-working sample page is included with the useful.parallax.js download.
