Transit is not your every day file uploader.
This is a library that does a lot more than just move files from the client's computer to an online server, being able to handle file validation operations, rename uploaded files, severely alter files and their content.
Besides regular servers, Transit supports sending files to a Rackspace or Amazon S3 account, via a special "Transporter". Besides the two aforementioned services, Transit also comes with a "generic" transporter which developers can use to add their own favorite file storage online services if they don't have an AWS or Rackspace account.
Because in most cases developers need a file uploader to let users upload images on a service, Transit comes with special support for this file type, providing developers with a series of built-in methods for dealing with photos. These include support for cropping photos, resizing them to predetermined dimensions, flipping, rotating, and scaling the images as needed.
On top of this, the validator features of the Transit library allow programmers to prevent unwanted files from being uploaded to the server. This is done via a series of rules that can be applied to every file before being accepted on the server, rules contained in a series of "validator" classes.
Just like the "Transporter" classes, the "Transformer" and "Validator" classes come with a set of predefined options and an abstract class which developers can use to extend the file uploader to whatever they need it to.
A basic demo is included with the Transit package.
