Apache ODF Toolkit

Apache ODF Toolkit provides tools for developers to work with OpenOffice's well-known document format.

This enables them to create, edit or parse documents and use the data inside their Java-based apps or websites, without having an OpenOffice installation available or installed.

This means the Apache ODF Toolkit can be used server-side, not needing an OpenOffice runtime for manipulation procedures.

What is new in this release:

• Added document encryption support.
• Added metadata support.
• Support for OpenDocument-v1.2.
• Additional APIs for Simple API.

Limitations:

• The project is still under development in the Apache Incubator repository and might change drastically from version to version.
