SiteAppBuilder is a powerful Windows tool with two key roles to play. Software maintenance. Signing your apps (using MS Signtool). Optionally time-stamping your signed apps (recommended). Optionally rebuild your compiled html help file to ensure it is up to date. Editing your installer script with the version number of the current build. Building your installer (using InnoSetup). Signing your installer (using MS Signtool). Optionally time-stamping your installer. Edit your download link page with the appropriate url for your installer package and appropriate text for the link. If you use a php script to handle update notifications for your users, it can edit that to ensure that it reflects the current version info (more on that later). Upload your installer package, the revised update link page and the revised php file to any number of domains.

Web Site maintenance. If you already have a site online but no local copy you can import the entire site to your local machine with minimal effort on your part - handy if you have taken over a project for someone or have recently realized the danger of having all your hard work only on a server that you do not own. You do all your Web Site editing locally without having to make a note of which files you have changed or created. SiteAppBuilder keeps track of all your files and when it comes time to update your live site, it knows which ones have changed since the last upload and only sends those unless you tell it otherwise.

Unless you tell it otherwise, SiteAppBuilder will select for sending to your domain(s) only those files which index.html depends upon. Any files you manually select will always be remembered and will be uploaded when they have been updated. Broken link detection. SiteAppBuilder scans your files and lets you know if you have any internal broken links. By internal broken links, I mean links that point to items in the same domain that are not present. Links to external sites are not checked, this is because there are many reasons that a link to another domain might not work at any given time. Any broken links found are shown in a list for you to edit the relevant lines (either the target is actually missing or the link is a typo). If you are using Notepad++ or MultiEdit SiteAppBuilder will take you straight to the offending line.
