Manjaro Ozone

Manjaro Ozone is an open source and community derived Manjaro Linux edition that uses the KDE Plasma Workspaces and Applications environment with the Electric Blue theme, as well as various other customizations.

Distributed as 32-bit/64-bit Live DVDs

This special Manjaro edition is available for download from Softoware or from its official website as Live DVD ISO images of approximately 2GB in size each, supporting both 32-bit (i386) and 64-bit (x86_64) instruction set architectures. Please note that these ISO images must be burned onto DVD discs or written to USB flash drives in order to boot them from the BIOS of a computer.

Custom Manjaro boot prompt

For the first time is a Manjaro Linux edition, the Manjaro Ozone operating system features a customized boot prompt. However, its functionality remains untouched, allowing you to quickly start the live environment with free or proprietary video drivers, boot an existing operating system from the first disk, view detailed hardware information, as well as to run a system memory test.

Electrified KDE desktop environment

The main emphasis of this Manjaro flavor is on the Electric Blue theme of the KDE Plasma desktop environment, offering a darkish interface with blue elements. However, the layout of the KDE desktop has not been modified, as it uses a single taskbar located on the bottom edge of the screen.

Includes KDE-specific applications

As expected, Manjaro Ozone includes a wide-range of KDE-specific applications, among which we can mention JuK music player, Dragon Player video player, Gwenview image viewer, Okular document viewer, Blogilo blogging client, KGet download manager, Kopete instant messenger, and KMail email client.

Bottom line

Summing up, the Ozone edition of Manjaro Linux is here to bring alternative theming and customizations to all KDE fans. Do not hesitate to check out some other cool Manjaro editions, with the Cinnamon, MATE, GNOME, Xfce, i3, awesome, PekWM or Openbox desktop environments/window managers.
