If you've tried to modify one of those jQuery plugins that makes sticky menus to work with other kinds of page elements and miserably failed, then you need something more generic like jQuery.Pin.
This plugin can make any type of HTML element stick in a fixed CSS position, remaining in the same position or sticking to the top or bottom of the page as the user scrolls up or down a page.
Elements can be made sticky for the entire page or just one of its sections, and any type of content can be placed inside them, not just text or images.
And if you're worried about responsive designs, then you must know that jQuery.Pin can be disabled on devices with small screens, easily avoiding situations where there's not enough space to show all page elements.
