jQuery.growShrink employs a pretty simple system for making elements grow and shrink on the page, letting developers choose to expand one page section or element, into a more bigger area to have a closer look at it, or the reverse action instead.
The elements don't need to match, so you can easily extend some text into a big image, or shrink a page section into a form, or piece of text.
The animation sequence mainly relies on CSS 3, and uses GPU hardware acceleration when supported.
A simple demo is included with the jQuery.growShrink package.
What is new in this release:
- Added support for 3D transforms (hardware accelerated in Webkit).

- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery 1.4 or higher
- CSS 3 enabled browser
