Intelligent Multi Kernel System

Intelligent Multi Kernel System is a completely free and open source software project, a modified kernel for GNU/Linux operating systems. It is yet another Linux kernel package that supports the Assembly and C programming languages.

Features at a glance

The software has been engineered in such a way that it includes support for compiling assembler bootloader, support for compiling basic assembler system, as well as support for making bootable 3.5" discs.

Future versions of this project will allow you to load and update parts of the program while running, while every kernel will be completely independent from other Linux kernels. In time, users will be able to effortlessly get control over the Kit.

Getting started with Intelligent Multi Kernel System

To get started with the Intelligent Multi Kernel System project, being by downloading the latest release from either its official website (see the homepage link at the end of the article) or via Softoware, save the archive somewhere on your Home directory and unpack it.

Then, open a terminal emulator application, use the ‘cd’ command to navigate to the location of the extracted archive files (e.g. cd /home/softoware/imks-repo) and run the ‘make’ command to compile the kernel for your hardware architecture.

A quick look under the hood of the Intelligent Multi Kernel System project, will show us that the Assembly, C and Unix Shell programming languages have been used to write it source code. The software has been successfully tested on computers supporting either of the 64 or 32-bit instructions set architectures. It is compatible with all Linux kernel-based operating systems.
