By default, the WordPress search will find items in the site's posts and pages.
This plugin enhances the search domain to include custom post types.
An admin backend page allows the webmaster to choose which custom post types can be included with the search results.
When activating the plugin, this step needs to be taken since no custom post type will be searched if not configured first in the backend.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
