By default, WordPress supports embedding image galleries.
Normally, when adding such a gallery to a page, the user has to do it via the "Insert Media" popup, a small, crammed up place where very little outside the gallery's list of images can be managed.
Doing this with WP native technology isn't only incredibly annoying, but also leaves very few customization options available to end users.
Heroic Gallery Manager comes in to help users that utilize this feature on a daily basis (photographers, designers, artists, etc.).
The Heroic Gallery Manager plugin adds a special section in the WordPress backend where site admins and editors can create beautiful galleries using a user-friendly, intuitive and interactive interface.
With an AJAX-powered, drag&drop interface, admins can create large photo albums within a much less time then they would using the default WP gallery feature.
They can also create an unlimited number of galleries, each one embeddable in any page on the site via a shortcode, and not attached automatically to just one post or page.
If you use WP galleries a lot in your content, then Heroic Gallery Manager is the plugin for you.
