Google Drive Embedder works by adding a button to WordPress' built-in WYSIWYG editor.
When pressed, this button will display a popup window where the editor can navigate a list of files from his Google Drive account and embed it in the content of his site via an automatically generated shortcode.
A search field is provided for accounts with a large amount of documents and the plugin provides three ways of embedding the content:
- normal URL linking to the document on Google Drive
- icon prefixed link to the document on Google Drive
- embed the document itself via an iframe on the site
Google Drive Embedder works with the following types of Google (Drive) accounts:
- Gmail addresses
- Googlemail.com address
- Email addresses powered by the Google Apps for Business platform
- Email addresses powered by the Google Apps for Education platform
- Email addresses powered by the Google Apps for Non-profits platform
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
Google Drive Embedder is also available on the WordPress plugin repository, making it easy to install via WP's built-in automatic plugin installation tool.
