FuncUnit combines the principles behind unit and functional testings, using a jQuery-like syntax and Jasmine/QUnit-like assertions.
The library was created to provide better functional testing to already existing testing frameworks, allowing then to detect how their Web applications an actually be used before letting users ever touch them.
This type of testing is also known as "black box" testing, and is used to detect obvious mistakes in interface design.
Tests written with FuncUnit can be run in the browser or the Node.js command-line.
