Voyage Linux ONE is an open source, minimal and freely distributed operating system, an enhanced edition of the Voyage Linux operating system that has been designed from the offset to allow you to easily and quickly deploy a VoIP server via Asterisk. It can also be used as an Internet/network firewall or gateway.
Designed for embedded systems and low-end computers
The Voyage Linux OS has been created with the main goal of providing a distribution of Linux for x86-based embedded system, as well as low-end computers, including Atom-based boards, Soekris 45xx, 48xx and 65xx boards, ALIX/WRAP, and many others. The ONE edition is built around the Asterisk PBX server and the dahdi (formerly zaptel) software.
Built-in Asterisk WebUI
An interesting feature of the Voyage Linux ONE distribution is the built-in Asterisk WebUI (web-based interface), which allows you to configure various parameters of the Asterisk PBX server. It can be easily accessed by pointing your web browser to http://:8088. Use the ‘admin’ username and ‘voyage’ password to login.
Distributed as a 32-bit Live CD
This Debian-based operating system is distributed as a Live CD ISO image that has only 90 MB in size and can be easily deployed on either CD discs or USB thumb drives. It includes software packages optimized only for 32-bit (x86/i686) hardware platforms.
Offers standard boot options
While the Live CD will automatically boot the live system with normal configuration in five seconds for the moment you boot the ISO image from the BIOS of your computer, it is also possible to access various standard boot options, such as the ability to run the OS in failsafe mode, perform a RAM diagnostic test, as well as to boot an existing OS from the first disk.
No longer under active development
Please note that Voyage Linux ONE is no longer maintained because of lack of interest. It has been archived for historical references purposes.
