Macis Puppy Linux is a completely free and open source distribution of Linux that supports the Simplified-Chinese language, it is based on the minimal Puppy Linux operating system and uses the Xfce desktop environment.
Distributed as a minimal, dual-arch Live CD
Being based on Puppy Linux, the distribution comes with a minimal, dual-arch Live CD of approximately 300MB in size, deployable on either 32-bit (i386) and 64-bit (x86_64) hardware platforms. You can write the ISO image to a CD disc or a USB flash drive in order to boot it from the BIOS of a PC.
Minimal boot prompt, only for advanced users
It appears that the Macis Puppy Linux developer removed the artwork from the boot loader of the Puppy Linux distribution, as it will present users with a pitch black boot prompt, where normal users should wait 5 seconds for the system to boot or press the Enter key from the get-go.
Mac OS X-like graphical user interface
The graphical user interface of this Puppy Linux based operating system is powered by Xfce, which has been designed in such a way to look like a Mac OS X desktop environment. It features a top panel and a strange dock (application launcher) located on the bottom edge of the screen.

Default applications include the AbiWord word processor, Geany IDE, Gnumeric spreadsheet editor, Viewnior image viewer, GNOME MPlayer video player, Guvcview image viewer, Pburn CD/DVD burning software, BleachBit system cleaner, Mozilla Firefox web browser, Thunar file manager, gFTP file transfer client, as well as Clipman clipboard manager.

All in all, Macis Puppy Linux is a fast, minimal and decent operating system that is easy to install and features a modern graphical desktop environment. However, it has been designed to be used only by Chinese-speaking users.
