Joe's Boot Disk or JBD for short, is an open source Live CD Linux operating system that boots directly to a Slackware Linux system. It is designed to run directly from a USB flash drive connected to a personal computer.
Joe's Boot Disk is also designed to serve as a minimal and handy Live CD or USB for doing rescue, repair or other system administration tasks.
The project is comprised of various scripts and an initrd.gz file made by the Slackware mkinitrd script, which is made bootable by using Isolinux or Legacy Grub.
