RSS Reader

RSS Reader was coded on top of the Neptune ColdFusion MVC framework and provides basic tools that allow developers to embed the content of RSS feeds on their sites.

The component includes two main parts. One parses feeds and then sends the data to be stored in a database, and the second provides various methods for pulling in that information and using it in building frontend display widgets.

Feeds can be parsed at various time intervals, ensuring the data is always kept up to date with the latest information.

RSS Reader was created as an alternative to parsing RSS feeds via ColdFusion's built-in tag, being much more faster and also integrating RSS.cfc.
