The Apache Commons BeanUtils project simplifies the process of getting and setting the properties of Java objects.
It uses the Java Reflection and Introspection APIs to provide dynamic access to object properties where the developer doesn't know the appropriate getter and setter methods to be used.
As you can imagine the Commons BeanUtils library can be very useful for scenarios where this information is not available, being a kind of "master key" to any Java object.
This tool can be used to build scripting languages that interact with the Java object model, template language processors, and custom tag libraries for JSP and XSP environments.
What is new in this release:
- Added a new BeanIntrospector for addressing a potential class loader vulnerability.
What is new in version 1.8.2:
- Bug fix for NullPointerException in BeanUtilsBean .setProperty()
