TurnKey SiT! Support Incident Tracker Live CD is an open source distribution of Linux that allows users to deploy dedicated servers with the SiT! Support Incident Tracker software. It is based on the award winning Debian GNU/Linux operating system and comes with all the necessary components.
SiT! Support Incident Tracker is an open source and web-based help desk application that helps track contacts, websites, technical support requests, support incidents and support contracts. Key features of this TurnKey appliance include upstream SiT! Support Incident Tracker configurations installed by default in /var/www/sitracker, and a patch that fixes the "Application Warning [512]" bug.
In addition, it features a Postfix mail server for sending email messages to users, the phpMyAdmin software for administering the MySQL database server, support for SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) connections, as well as various Webmin modules for configuring MySQL, Apache, Postfix and PHP.
While the default username for the phpMyAdmin, Webmin, MySQL and SSH components is root, the default SiT! Support Incident Tracker username is admin@example.com. You can enter a password for the root (system administrator) account during the fist boot configuration process.
It is also a must to enter a new password for the MySQL 'root' account, as well as a valid email address and new password for the SiT! Support Incident Tracker 'admin' account. Additionally, you can enable the default TurnKey hub services, such as Domain Management, Backup, Migration and Dynamic DNS.
This appliance is distributed as two Live CD ISO images, one for each of the supported architectures (32-bit and 64-bit), as well as ready-to-use virtual images for the Xen, OVF, OpenNode, OpenVZ and OpenStack virtualization technologies.
The ISO images can be used to install the appliance to a local disk drive, as well as to just try it using the demo mode. Don't forget to write down the IP addresses and ports for accessing the SiT! Support Incident Tracker interface, web shell, Webmin, phpMyAdmin, SSH and SFTP services.
