Breathing Halftone

Breathing Halftone works via the HTML5 canvas utility and is a great tool to add halftone effects to an image, just like the classic Photoshop filter.

The effect works only with locally stored photos (for security reasons) and provides better performance with smaller amounts of dots.

Developers can control the following halftone effect parameters:
- dot size
- dot size threshold
- dot growth velocity
- dot friction
- dot oscillation period
- dot oscillation amplitude
- dot hover diameter
- dot hover force
- dot click diameter
- dot click force
- active color channels
- radial grid layout
- additive/subtractive effects

A demo is included with the download package.

Requirements:

• JavaScript enabled on client side
• HTML 5 enabled browser
