Distraction-Free is a GNOME Shell extension that will force the GNOME panel and the Message Tray to be displayed only in the Activities overview mode. It also removes the hot corner.
To install this extension you must have GNOME Shell installed or Cinnamon. However, keep in mind that it has not been tested with Cinnamon.
