CodeCop

CodeCop is a basic ColdFusion syntax checker.

It works on top of a rules engine, a custom code validation system that uses a list of preset rules to test the code and report on various problems.

Developers can fully-customize the active rules, using only the ones they like, or (if they can) write the custom rules they want to validate the code against.

Some of the built-in rules address known issues with ColdFusion code, like:
- nested cflock tags
- StructKeyExists() presence over isDefined()
- len presence over empty string tests
- the problematic evaluate() tags
- shared scope avoidance
- cfschedule with relative URLs
- the presence of a "/" before includes

Requirements:

• Coldfusion MX 6.1 or higher
• Access '97 or higher
• Derby 10.2 or higher
• MSSQL 2000 or higher
• MySQL 4.1 or higher
• Oracle
• PostGreSQL 8 or higher
