Bootstrap is a framework that evolved from the old Twitter UI and is now a stand-alone UI framework, with its own flat, modern & responsive layout.
Twitter Bootstrap Admin is only a simple template, a collection of static pages built on Bootstrap that will show how to create an administration backend on top of the framework's widgets.
Twitter Bootstrap Admin uses the 2.x branch of Bootstrap.
Support for the newer 3.x branch is under way.
