The Bug Genie

The Bug Genie enhances the code development process by offering an advanced tool to manage feature requests, bug reports and user feedback.

It comes packed with lots of features, making it ideal for any project type and working environment.

This means it can be used by both developers, designers, and even non-development or non-technical users.

The Bug Genie is made up of two separate interfaces. One is the backend where only admins and the support staff have access, and the second is the frontend where users can open tickets and request new features.

Both entities are fully customizable and are in full control of The Bug Genie administrator which can enhance them via modules and various other configuration options.

• Uniformizing languages names.

• Fixes an issue where comments did not appear to be added.
• Fixes an issue where removed / non-existant project roles caused project editing to fail.

• The ‘canvoteonissues' permission is now obeyed.
• Guests are now never able to vote on issues.
• Permissions are now obeyed when adding a task or adding a relation to an issue.
• The PHP version number is now never included in X-Mailer.

What is new in version 3.1.4:

• LDAP Support, can be installed from modules configuration
• Support for manually specifying the project in a VCS commit, use projectkey:issueno if you wish to specify a commit not in the default project for this repo in the commit log.
• Support for account activation, which requires the mailing module and can be turned on from the module's settings - new registrations will need to click an activation link in the email before they can log in.
• Modules can now hook into the VCS Integration new commit code

What is new in version 3.1.2:

• JavaScript and CSS minification can now be turned off.
• Github support has been verified and completed. As an added bonus, this has also been enabled on our own tracker, at thebuggenie.com.

• The Bug Genie 3.1 comes with a lot of new features, such as multiple hosted trackers on one installation, improved CLI tools, navigation jumplist, awesome quicksearch, updated remote API and much more.
