Tappy can be quite helpful if you need an unique security system for your page, allowing an app to distinguish between various users, or between users and spam bots by their input rhythm.
The library works with client-side (browsers) and server-side (Node.js) environments, and also can handle keyboard input and/or various touch gestures like tapping.
Tappy is capable of recording these rhythms and then comparing them with one another, or just a preset rhythm.
In real-life scenarios, besides for security reasons, the library can also be used for improving password entry fields, browser games, or other basic AI systems.
Features:
- Record input rhythms
- Compare input rhythms
- Average input rhythms
- Log input duration, length, and playback details
- Node.js support
- Mobile friendly
What is new in this release:
- Update playback arguments and add duration attribute.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- Node.js for server-side environments
