metro.css, as its name implies, helps developers create Web apps that look like the Metro-powered dashboard introduced with the Windows 8 operating system.
metro.css is not a step by step clone of the Windows 8 desktop, but more like a UI framework that provides developers with a set of tools for building Metro-like interfaces.
Developers have at their disposal a set of utilities that allows them to create pages and components that look and behave like native Metro apps.
This includes support for the original Metro typography, font selections, color schemes, and some of its animation sequences.
These will allow them to build anything they want, from the classic Metro tile grid, to tab panels, progress bars, and others more.
