The jQuery Multiple File Upload Plugin is a server-agnostic file upload widget that simplifies the process of selecting and uploading large quantities of files.
It works regardless of the server-side backend, meaning you can use it with Ruby, PHP, Perl, Java, Python, Node.js, etc..
The plugin features a simple mechanism that allows developers to setup various file upload rules, rules which help and prevent users from uploading too large files or files that were not asked for.
These rules act like a filtering system, supporting basic file type validation and a criteria for preventing too many files from being uploaded.
If errors are detected, the jQuery Multiple File Upload Plugin will warn users before submitting the form, so they can remove the problematic files and submit the form without losing the data.
Multi-lingual and HTML5 support is also included with the new 2.x branch. The 1.x branch can be used as a legacy or fallback system for older browsers.
Lots of demos are included with the download package.
