MPFC

MPFC is an abbrevation for Music Player For Console. MPFC project is a full-featured curses-based playlist-oriented player.

MPFC supports a number of input file formats. This support is organised through input plugins model.

It means that the formats list - you must simply add a new plugin. Also there are plugins for output and effects.

What is new in this release:

• The single most important feature of this release is offloading of all audio processing duties to GStreamer (hence, the old plugins model is no longer used).
• Another big feature is the remote control interface (plus an Android remote).
• Besides that, numerous improvements have been made to cue sheet handling, Unicode support, and the UI.

What is new in version 1.3.8:

• This is mostly a bugfix release that collects all the fixes made for the past 5 years.
• Unicode support has been implemented and some configuration options were added.
