WordPress Ban System adds a missing piece in the WordPress paraphernalia, a powerful access restriction mechanism to hold off annoying or infringing users.
There's no configuration needed for the plugin to work and you can install it and start banning people right away.
You can ban individuals by their IP address, or even ban entire countries if you see lot of spam coming from those locations.
Webmasters can also customize the message that appears to banned users, and can also add a reason for their ban, printing it on the "ban page".
Bans can also be added using a time period, automatically disabling themselves when the appropriate time passes.
If you opt not to show a message for the given bans, then the WordPress Ban System plugin also lets you automatically redirect users to a desired page as well.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
