Wax OS is an open source distribution of Linux based on the world's most popular and free operating system, Ubuntu. It is a very stable distribution where everything just works, the way they are supposed to. The default and only desktop environment is KDE Plasma.
Available for download as a dual-arch Live DVD
The distro can be downloaded as a dual-arch Live DVD ISO image or approximately 1.5GB in size, deployable on 64-bit (x86_64) or 32-bit (i386) hardware platforms. It is a hybrid ISO image that can be written on either a DVD disc or a USB flash drive of 2GB or higher capacity in order to boot it from the BIOS of a computer.
Boot options
From the boot menu, the user can start the live environment with default boot options or in safe graphics mode, start the installer directly, boot the live session with only a text terminal, start the live session without the boot splash, perform a system memory diagnostic test, as well as to boot an existing operating system from the first disk drive.
