TurnKey TomatoCart Live CD is an open source project that provides users with one of the most easy to use methods for deploying dedicated server machines that run the TomatoCart software. It is based on the highly acclaimed Debian GNU/Linux operating system and distributed as Live CD images.
TomatoCart is an open source and fully featured shopping cart application that's comprised of numerous modules, among which we can mention Site Management, Product Management and Browsing, Catalog Management and Browsing, Customer Management, Payment, Order Management, Shipping, Statistics and Reports, Checkout, Promotion Tools and SEO, and Content Management System (CMS).
Key features of this TurnKey appliance include upstream TomatoCart configurations installed by default in /var/www/tomatocart, phpMyAdmin administration front-end for the MySQL database server, a Postfix mail server for sending email messages, support for secure connections using SSL, and various Webmin modules for configuring Apache, MySQL, Postfix and PHP.
The default username for the Webmin, MySQL, SSH and phpMyAdmin components is root, and the default TomatoCart username is admin. Users can add new passwords for the this pre-configured accounts during the first boot configuration process. in addition, you must enter an email address for the TomatoCart 'admin' account.
It is also possible to initialize the TurnKey Migration, Backup, Dynamic DNS and Domain Management services after the installation process, which takes place in text-mode and requires users to partition the disk drive and install the boot loader.
The TurnKey Linux Configuration Console will allow you to reboot or shutdown this TomatoCart appliance, as well as to configure the network interfaces. Furthermore, you can view all the active services, including their IP addresses and ports.
The project is distributed as two Live CD ISO images, one for each of the supported hardware platforms (64-bit and 32-bit), as well as virtual machines in the Xen, OpenStack, OVF, OpenNode and OpenVZ formats.
