tap.jquery adapts mouse clicks to tap events with the help of a custom "tap" event handler.
This is useful because it allows Web apps to function in the same way on different mediums.
Because clicks are translated into taps and then trigger the same actions, applications behave and work the same on all devices, regardless if their a PC, tablet, or smartphone.
tap.jquery does this very well and also handles tap events using their own, separate event handler, not requiring developers to alter classic click events to handle them.
The click-to-tap conversion is very well suited for cross-platform support, but it is an optional feature which can be turned off if not needed.
Usage instructions and a sample are included with the tap.jquery plugin.
This same plugin is also available in a version for usage with the MooTools framework.
