By breaking up the larger image into smaller pieces, Super Simple Image Tiles prevents the user from having full access to the image (at least with no coding knowledge).
When trying to drag the image into an editor, copy it or right-clicking on it, users will always get only a piece of the photo instead of the full picture.
The Super Simple Image Tiles script uses a settings file which lets the webmaster decide how he wants to protect his site's images.
This settings file allows him to set the number of image tiles to break the original image into, the watermark he wants to use, the watermark's opacity and the path where to save the smaller image tiles on disk.
Installing the script is quite easy and only requires an extra class in the image tag.
Examples and usage instructions are included with the Super Simple Image Tiles package.
Requirements:
- PHP's GD library
Limitations:
- The original image path is still present in the page's source.
