SimpleAuthority

SimpleAuthority is a fully functional Certification Authority (CA) that is designed to be very easy to use. It generates and manages keys and certificates that provide cryptographic digital identities for people and/or computer servers. These identities are designed to be used in applications for secure email, document signing, VPN access, client SSL authentication and/or server SSL authentication. Unlike most CA products, SimpleAuthority is very easy to use and does not require any specialist PKI knowledge or supporting components like an external database. It is built on The Legion of the Bouncy Castle cryptographic library.

What is new in this release:

Version 3.5 includes the following improvements:

• New toolbar icons (much nicer)
• Improved CSR processing with the option to modify request details
• Improved command line interface to support certificate revocation
• Added support for CLI generation of a new Root CA
• Fixed bug where Web interface was not switching between multiple CAs correctly
• Fixed bug where CLI was returning incorrect return code if CRL could not be issued
• Updated Java version on Windows platforms
• Updates to support OS-X without using deprecated Apple classes
