Simple Statistics works with client-side (browsers) and server-side (Node.js) environments, providing a statistical module for JavaScript.
This library allows developers to use functions and methods available in the domain of descriptive statistics, but also from regression and inference statistics as well.
All functions are detailed in the package's README file, but it's worth mentioning here that Simple Statistics supports some of these well-known functions and many other more:
- Sums
- Means
- Variance
- Median
- Standard Deviation
- Median Absolute Deviation (MAD)
- Harmonic Mean
- Geometric Mean
- Root Mean Square (RMS)
- Min/Max
- Sample Variance
- Quantile
- Interquartile Range
- Sample Skewness
- Jenks Natural Breaks
- R-squared Value
- Bayesian classifier
What is new in this release:
- Ckmeans replaces Jenks
- sortedUniqueCount provides an extremely fast method for counting unique values of sorted arrays.
- sumNthPowerDeviations is now exposed, providing a simple way to calculate the fundamental aspect of measures like variance and skewness.
What is new in version 1.0.0:
- Ckmeans replaces Jenks
- sortedUniqueCount provides an extremely fast method for counting unique values of sorted arrays.
- sumNthPowerDeviations is now exposed, providing a simple way to calculate the fundamental aspect of measures like variance and skewness.
What is new in version 0.9.2:
- Fixes .jenks corner cases.
What is new in version 0.9.1:
- Fixes .jenks corner cases.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- Node.js for server-side environments
