Selectator takes a regular dropdown select field and enhances it with additional controls and features.
First it lets the developer use a custom CSS-powered interface. This will let him add and style the dropdown field according to his site's general UI style and prevent situations where the dropdown field looks out of place in his forms.
Second the plugin can also add a search field at the top of the dropdown list, just in case you have lots of options and want to let the user filter his available choices.
Third, Selectator also supports custom data templates, meaning you can build complex selections that are more than just text, adding images and HTML-styled content to every available option in the list.
Fourth the plugin also supports multiple selections and opt-groups, just in case the data needs to be organized in a more complex way.
Fifth, there's an optional setting to dim down the rest of the page when the dropdown is opened, feature that will increase the plugin's operational performance, letting users focus only on the element currently opened.
