Qore JSON Module is an open source and free module for the Qore programming language, allowing developers to generate and parse JSON strings, as well as to use JSON-RPC functionality and classes.
The functionality of the Qore JSON Module was split from version 0.8.1 of the main Qore library.

Qore is a free, open source, easy-to-use, thread-capable, SQL-integrated, and powerful weakly-typed scripting language that features TIBCO AE integration, Oracle and MySQL DBI drivers, as well as an easy date arithmetic.
What is new in this release:
- This version fixed bugs in JSON serialization and JSON-RPC communication.
- Date/time values are always serialized with microseconds in the sender's local time zone.
- A crashing bug was fixed in the JSON control character encoding algorithm.
- The character encoding is now always included in the Content-Type header in JsonRpcClient.
- The XmlRpcHandler module was updated for enhanced logging.
- The source is now released under the MIT license as well as the LGPL 2.1.
What is new in version 1.2:
- This version includes a critical fix for encoding control characters properly according to RFC 4627 and provides much better compatibility for server and client-side applications with third-party JSON-RPC libraries.
What is new in version 1.1:
- Added support for the new arbitrary-precision numeric type introduced in qore 0.8.6
- Serialize control characters with escape codes to be compatible with common Javascript JSON libraries (also corresponding deserialization support)
