Privatix Live-System Xfce is an open source distribution of Linux derived from the highly acclaimed Debian GNU/Linux operating system and designed to be as secured as possible This edition features the Xfce graphical desktop environment.

The Xfce edition of Privatix Live-System is distributed in multiple editions, supporting both English and German languages. It is available for download as Live CD ISO images that fit perfectly on CD discs or USB thumb drive, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit computers.

Uses Debian’s default boot menu

The Live CDs use Debian’s default boot menu, including its artwork and boot options, such as the ability to start the live system with the default kernel or in safe graphics mode, perform a system memory diagnostic test, as well as to access a help screen.

Xfce looks traditional, familiar and productive

As mentioned, this special edition of Privatix Live-System is built around the Xfce graphical desktop environment, which has been tweaked to look traditional, comprised of a single taskbar, familiar, as it looks like an old-school Windows OS, as well as productive, as it provides quick access to pre-installed applications and system settings.

Contains a standard set of applications

Default applications include the Iceweasel web browser, Icedove email and news client, Transmission torrent downloader, Pidgin multi-protocol instant messenger, OpenOffice.org office suite, Orage calendar, Totem movie player and GIMP image editor.

In addition, the Inkscape vector graphics editor, gThumb image viewer, Bulk Rename batch file renaming utility, Thunar file manager and Xarchiver archive manager are also included.

Allows users to easily encrypt an external drive
