perMUmet is a metronome designed for drummers, percussionists, music educators, and other musicians. It provides 46 different instruments one could use for marking tempos. Speaking of tempos, users can enter tempos by: selecting a preset, manual entry, by using the tap button, or by using a slider tempo control. The mute button allows for sound to be silenced but a visual cue remains for situations when a click is not desired. The hide display button allows one to test his/her concept of how fast certain tempos are. For example, someone might want to know how close their concept of 60 beats per minute is. One could hide the display, click on the tap button a number of times, and then check how close s/he was to 60 beats per minute by unhiding the display button.
Requirements:
This software runs on any computer that has the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on it. This includes Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. It is recommended to use JRE versions 1.5 and above.
