These days anyone is capable of creating a distribution of Linux based on an existing and thoroughly tested layout. This is the case of Penguin-OS (also known as MLIPenguin-OS), which is an open source and completely free distribution of Linux that has been designed from the ground up for the MegaLab.it community.
The distro supports both 32-bit and 64-bit hardware platforms
Penguin-OS is available for download as two Live DVD ISO images of approximately 1.5GB in size each, one for each of the supported hardware platforms (32-bit and 64-bit).You don’t have to install the operating system in order to test it
A live system will always allow you to try it without installing it. This is the case of Penguin-OS, which provides users with a standard boot menu that allows them to start the live environment with default boot options or in safe graphics mode.In addition, the user will be able to start the graphical installer and permanently install the operating system to a local drive, perform a system memory (RAM) diagnostic test, as well as to boot an existing OS from the first disk.
