MSTW Schedules & Scoreboards was created to help webmasters show a team's past and future schedule on a WordPress site, complete with support for match results, venues management, and upcoming game countdown timers.
All these tasks can be carried out via the WordPress administration panel, and when finished, webmasters can utilize a set of shortcodes and sidebar widgets to output the results on the site's frontend.
While the plugin was developed for American football in general, it has built-in functionality that lets webmasters also adapt it to other sports as well.
Usually any team sport that's played out in a league format will do fine, but it will also work with some individually played sports as well.
MSTW Schedules & Scoreboards and all off its features are quite self-explanatory, is easy to use, and also comes with plenty of UI customization options.
If you're having problem setting it up and then customizing it, then you can register for paid support on the developer's website.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
What is new in this release:
- Updated CSS stylesheet loading, so customizations can be loaded from a separate file from the plugin's mstw-ss-styles.css. Changes to that file are no longer required, so the plugin upgrade process should be simpler (and safer).
- Added CSS tag for home games to all widgets & shortcodes, not just the schedule table.
- Added four team colors to each team. (For eventual use in several plugins.)
- Removed some annoying PHP notices from the CDT widget.
