Linux LiveCD Router is a freely distributed server-oriented operating system based on the Linux kernel and various other open-source software. It is designed from the ground up to allow anyone to transform a regular PC into a reliable and stable router system.

Distributed as a dual-arch Live CD

As its name suggests, the Linux LiveCD Router operating system is available for download as a Live CD ISO image that can be written to CD discs or USB thumb drives and then booted from the BIOS of a computer, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit hardware platforms.

It boots automatically into the live system

When booting the Live CD from a CD disc or USB stick, you will notice that it boots automatically into the live system. You will be dropped to a login prompt where you must use the “root” username and the “cdrouter” password to login.
