jQuery Strings adds new methods to the jQuery core that lets developers easily perform various checks on strings.
The types of actions supported are:
- check if string is null or empty
- check if string is a boolean value (0 or 1, true or false)
- check if a string contains another (sub)string
- check if a string starts with with a (sub)string
- check if a string ends with with a (sub)string
On top of this, there's also a function to perform string formatting using a list of objects, almost identical to a similar function found inside ASP.NET.
While the jQuery Strings plugin seems to be trivial, it may prove to be a quite helpful tool if you have to work and manipulate strings inside your application and have no clue about how to go on about it.
Usage instructions are provided with the package's README file and via the plugin's source code comments.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery
